Cougar Cabin offers a cozy, efficient retreat with full-size amenities, tucked away in a quiet horse community. It’s the perfect private home base to explore the trails and relax in comfort. Unwind on the oversized deck, watch a movie on the outdoor TV, or soak in the private hot tub. 🏠 The Vibe — 🧱 Tiny Home, Big Comfort: Enjoy the unique feel of a compact, thoughtfully designed space. Unlike many tiny homes, this cabin features full-size amenities to ensure a comfortable stay. 🛌 The Space — The main floor features a private bedroom with a Queen-sized bed. For the kids, there is a dedicated sleeping loft—a cozy "nest" perfect for bedtime. 🛁 Outdoor Living — 📺 The Deck: The oversized deck is your second living room. It features a private hot tub and an outdoor TV, allowing you to enjoy the fresh air and wooded views while you relax. 🗺️ The Location — 🥾 Adventure Central: You are just 10 minutes from the Big South Fork entrance, Pickett State Park, and Black House Mountain ATV Park. 🐴 The Setting — 🌲 Quiet Community: Situated in a peaceful horse community. The property is well-maintained with cleared underbrush for a clean, park-like feel. ⚠️ Note on Privacy: Because the underbrush is cleared, a neighboring house is visible through the trees during the winter months. In summer, the full foliage provides a more secluded feel. Entire home. If you have an issue, please don't hesitate to reach out. We will be available to assist you, but follow your lead on interaction. This cabin is located in a horse community that borders the Big South Fork. Rolling hills and grazing horses make it a very peaceful environment. There is plenty of parking and the community is a great place for bike riding or walking. We provide bed linens and towels alongside of shower soap and shampoo. The kitchen has nice pots and pans, blender, dishes, drip coffee & keurig combined, tea kettle, basic spices, and cooking oil. Coffee beans are provided. There is a washer and dryer for guest use. **We try to follow Airbnb’s plastic-free green initiative. WE DO HAVE - Glass storage containers and lids - Water filter pitcher WE DON’T PROVIDE: - Plastic wrap - Aluminum foil - Plastic Tupperware. We love providing a safe, non-toxic space for our guests so choose non-toxic cleaning and household products.

We had a great stay at Cougar Cabin. The cabin is equipped so the everything you need and the hot tub was a hit with the kids. The cabin is small and I’d recommend just a couple or maybe a couple and small kids like 5-10 yrs old. Our teen was too tall for the bunk and hit his head a lot. The cabin was very clean and beds comfortable. We even saw a bear and 2 cubs! It’s close to Pickett and BSF and we had some great hikes! Overall a great stay!

The cabin was clean when arriving, the host was very friendly and helpful, surroundings and environment were peaceful and relaxing, had great WiFi and was stocked with a lot of necessities. The only trouble me and my boyfriend experienced was some issues with the lock, but once we figured it out it wasn’t too hard to manage. Overall, it was worth our money and stay.

We loved it we had a split weekend vacation and used this part to go hiking and be outdoors most of the time so Cougar Cabin was a great place to come back to each afternoon and start each day. Wish the weather wasn’t so hot and we could have enjoyed the hot tub but it was gorgeous, and loved. We did finally see a small bear our last night at the cabin on our way back from Jamestown.
